Well dispite all the issues I had with my 86 k10 that's in my sig I miss it since I got rid of it. Mainly for the sole reason of having a older longbed truck that I could throw anything in the bed I wanted and not worry about some scratches here and there but I miss the way these ol trucks ride. I love the car I got on trade for it and I have A LOT less headaches but I still miss the ol truck I guess from what all I put in it is what makes me feel like that. My goal is within the next year or two to find another longbed 4x4 73-87 in equivelant shape to how my 86 was but I want a 3/4ton and would like to do a big block build and possibly a 5psd swap? Need to do some more research on if its been done but anyhow figured I'd give yall an update! I still lurk usualy everyday :) just still currently truckless.

Well, Screamin86, I know how you feel. When I was injuired 4 years ago I had to sell two trucks rather quickly because I could no longer drive. Patience, Craig's List, etc., can be your friend. I'm still AFU but I've seen a lot of projects at the right price (and I can still dream). You'll find what you want, I'm sure.

It will be awhile before I'm able to afford another truck to tinker with but gona try to pay off my daily after the first of the year so that will help a lot. Plus I'm still working on finishing my 86 trans am ls1 swap and been slowly setting up my 92 z28 that I got on trade for autocross racing. I was gona lsx swap my 86 if I kept it but I really wanna bigblock truck....although I could build a 454 lsx for it ;).

my 79 has been sitting since the beginning of this year due to the little one coming and trying to save money for a engine. ::)

my 86 trans am i have sat for 5 years before i started the swap this past january. ive had the car since i was 16 im 23 now and the thing is still in pieces lol but it runs and moves itself. its stressful having a vehicle that you care about and want back together but dont have the means at the moment to get it going. i think thats part of why i got rid of my truck because i was putting so much into it to keep it going and didnt have time for other projects.

That is the great thing about a project, it can sit until you have time or money to spend on it.

Yup but until last october my car sat outside so I was always worried about rust and other things.
