Title: Carpet - Low or High Hump
Post by: bladerunner on September 27, 2011, 05:35:55 pm
Got an 85 K10. Do I want low of high hump carpet?

Also, I am attempting to reduce road noise.  I was going to get the mass backing. I assume this will help, but should I also spring for some sound deading material on the floor?

Torch red is mighty tempting...

yeah i have always noticed an extra amount of carpet around my hump. i am pretty sure the previous owner bought a high hump carpet, except the body is a c10 so its a low hump. o well prefect carpet not going to change it.

I thought high and low humps had to do with manual vs automatic

welcome to GM lol i think all 4x4 had to be high to make room for the transfer case. now i also believe manuals 4x2 or 4x4 had high humps. if it was a 4x2 with auto and ha a high it was prob what they had laying around or an option for the manual trans so all they would have to do is cut a hole instead of replacing the hump.
