Title: Deuce cab on chevy frame
Post by: jbird526 on October 03, 2011, 02:46:54 pm
Had an buddy leave an old Deuce and a half cab since he got a better one. My old shortbed was laying next to it and had a lightbulb moment. I measured the frame mounting holes in the bed and the ones in the deuce cab and they both measure @31" from side to side. While the bed does not match the style of the cab, I was thinking that the cab might be used for a slammed roadster project. Maybe a trail truck would be a good candidate also.
I have an 80 K10 to finish before I concentrate on another at the moment. Figured this pic might inspire somone else to start a build.

I think you could build a mean looking trail truck with that deuce cab and bed, it would be one of a kind.

I think with a step side bed it would look cool!

Hopefully by spring I will be able to start a build with this cab. At 6'2" and 225 I dont fit well in a CJ3 but a Deuce cabbed "Jeep" would be roomy in comparison. I need to send this to the dyno this weekend so I can get cracking.
