Title: ignition trouble

ok guys. so heres the jist. someone tried to steal my truck before i gotit and yanked out the ignition in the steering column. so i have been starting it with a pair of needle noses. how hard will it be to replace this? will i have to strip my whole steering column? need help! :-\

Take a look at the steering column rebuild in the tech section to start off with. We also have wiring diagrams in the same section. You should be able to replace everything without much trouble. Do you have a local pick and pull type junk yard?

wait they "tried" to steel your tuck sound like they did, and drove off with it. i mean if you can start it with needle noses they should of been able to do the same

Check the tech section, it gives you step by step on how to get down to the cylinder.

If they broke the column jacket just get a used column. If it's just the ignition cylinder then just replace the unit.
