Hi All-
Thanks for acceptance into the forum. I have just purchased and started work on a 1979 GMC High Sierra 25 3/4 ton 4x4.
Plan on doing a restoration down to the frame, but do not want a "show vehicle", I want a vehicle I can drive every day if need be.
Always been a gear head, had my muscle car during the 60s, and even as an old man I still enjoy using my hands. My last project, was a 12 year project, converting a old greyhound bus into a motorhome.
I've attached a couple pictures of the start of the project, and thanks again for the acceptance to the forum. I know you guys can teach me lots !!!

Looking forward to hearing more about your rebuild. The truck doesn't look too bad now. Is there rust?

Thanks for the warm welcom fellas.
I haven't found very much rust on it yet Firefighter. The only place I have found so far is a small spot on the passenger rear portion of the bed floor. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't find significant rust.
Rusty, the options are (and I hope these are in fact options) gauge instrumentation, cruise control, power steering, AC, full time 4x4 was changed by the original owner to Warn hubs, intermittent wipers, dual tanks.
I am the second owner. The original owner was out of N. Idaho, that's probably why no rust.
Thanks again,
Chris
