Title: Aftermarket door shells
Post by: Elpresidente on October 17, 2011, 08:44:00 pm
So I picked up a pair of aftermarket door shells for my '82, and they are actually impossible to properly align on the truck.
Has anyone else had this experience with the aftermarket doors?

I tried them, they are absolute poop.  I ended up getting an OEM one from a wrecker.

Find a set of OE doors from an 88~91 Blazer/Suburban.

Not only do they fit perfectly, they are galvanized, and won't rust as easily. :)

What brand are they? You can get Goodmark doors on this sites online store.

Cut the skins off the replacements if you aren't returning them.
Even OEM doors from another truck will require alignment.  I had one with a factory and aftermarket and I ended up working with the factory one longer to get it aligned....
