Title: Best method of cleaning a oily motor in place

I have a motor that has a fair amount of oil on it I want to get it cleaned up to pin point problem and fix it. So what's your method?

In the truck and working?  Super clean, easy-off if you want the paint gone, seal up the openings and spray it down.

Yeah it runs good. Just has some oil leaks and other stuff the needs to be addressed not to be unsuspected for a 20+ year old truck. And thanks for the post

High pressure hot water. Then degrease it with Super Clean, or Purple Power. I put them in a spray bottle, and use a parts cleaner brush. then pressure wash it again.

     Careful of the pressure if you use a pressure washer, too much pressure and you will be cutting through all your hoses and wiring.

Sorry, I should havementioned that. Second nature to me as we hot presure wash every job before it even comes into the shop.

No it's a good ideal thanks for the post. I bought some wire dryer stuff   To put on b4 hand says it will help waterproof it some to

      We (who use them everyday ) tend to forget small stuff like that, and expect everyone to just know it.  I always have to remind myself that not all my customers know about pressure washers like I do.
