Ok so I need some help on the headlight switch. When they arrive, I will be installing new cab roof lights. My truck does not currently have them. The package is suppose to included a wiring harness and switch for separate operation from the head lights. I want them to work with the headlights, so would I be able to get a wiring harness plug from an old truck with roof lights and just splice the plug onto the new wiring and plug it into the headlight switch? I not sure if all headlight switches are the same either, do they have a spot on the back side for a cab roof light harness? Thanks y'all.

That sounds right, but I would include a relay circuit so I was not pulling power away from your headlights.

The original setup would've had the roof lamps coming on with the parking lamps (first pull of the headlight switch). They would then stay on when the headlamps came on, as would the rest of the marker lamps.

Ditto on what Jason stated, and the harness would tie into the existing harness.

Excellent! That's what I was hoping for. The idea for relay circuit is good too. Thanks y'all, that really makes things a lot easier when I put them things in. :D

If you're going to add a relay just for your cab roof lights, you might as well add two more relays. One for your high beam headlights and one for your low beams. You will have much better visibility and reduce the load on your headlight switch. My $.02.

Thanks Rusty. I will definitely look into that, it sounds like a good idea too. I think those lights should be here next week.
