Title: 1978 dash and cluster wiring

Hello everyone im new here nice to meet you . There is a single wire coming from behind my fuse panel it is black with a white stripe about 3 feet long does anyone have a clue what this connects to. Also i have an orange wire with a black stripe coming out near my ash tray with a connector on it any clue where this wire goes to. I have a 1978 4x4  3/4  ton custom deluxe regular cab any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.I also have two wires coming down by where the radio use to be a black and a grey are these for the radio and which is the ground . thanks

     1st off welcome to the site.  The wire at the ash tray I assume might be for a light, if your truck was equipped with one.  The radio wires you should see where they go, I would assume the black was ground and grey memory power, but without seeing them is hard to tell.  As far as the wire at back of fuse panel, my first guess is someone added a wire to power something.

I couldnt find the orange and black wire or the black with the white stripe one on the wiring diagrahm . do you know if the high beam light is a bulb on its own wires or is it one of the twist ins.

All lights in the cluster run off the printed circuit.  Orange wire should be the cigarette lighter.  These are in the wiring diagrams.
