Title: good heavy ply tire.

anybody have any recomendations for a good 8-10 ply tire.  

stock 77 heavy half 2wd, in town use only.

That would be a load range D for  8 ply rating. I like my Cooper Discoverer AT tires. The heavier load range tires cost more tho-  BFGoodrich makes a good one too- the BFG All Terrain K/O. It's a load range C, a 6 ply rating. Lots of others,but these are American made.
