Title: best way to clean rims
Post by: 78chev2bnice on December 26, 2006, 09:10:00 pm
I got a set of 17" boyd coddington smoothie 2 rims last spring and I was just wondering which is the best way of cleaning them. They got stains on them that doesn't come off with just warm water and soap.

A sales rep from Raybestos told me to use Spray Nine on my wheels to help remove brake dust stains. Not sure of any ill effects it could have on your rims though.

Best thing to do is clean them pretty regularly with soap and water.... Any wheel manufacturer will tell you that anything else (clearner, polish, etc...) will void their warranty in the event that something happens to the finish of the wheel...
