WOW, now that is a loaded question.  First off I am not a engine builder, but I know a lot of people who are and a lot of people on here know what they are talking about.
I do not know anybody who would give you a complete answer without seeing the engine torn apart. (if they did I would not trust them too much)  Common since says the easiest would be new oil pump, then the question, did you run it, or someone told you it lost oil pressure before it sat in your garage, did it smoke or start making noise ?  Was it running rough when it came out, loss of power ?
I am sure you will get several answer's, there are a lot of members here who know their engines, I just gave you some things to think about so you can prepare.

sorry had a little too much coffee this morning. Yes i did run it when it loss oil pressure. i drove it for a mile to get home when it did. it sounded like a typewriter when i stopped it. when i restarted it it had a knock so i shut it off and pulled it.

The typewriter is the lifters.

The knock is a bearing. I have never seen a situation like yours that didn't need a crank afterwards. Only way to know for sure is to pull it down, and see.

If it knocked at the very least it would need bearings. More than likely it will need the crank turned or replaced.

Unless you're really, really short on time/money I would have the crank ground. It's relatively inexpensive especially when compared to doing all this again.

If I had it that far apart, I'd just rebuild it. You can get a master kit for under $250. Then you're just looking at machine work if needed and whatever the heads need.

Rebuild it and get the heads checked for sure. Its also a good time to consider upgrades if they are in the budget.

Consider some flat top pistons as well to up the compression ratio for some more hp and mpg. This is my combo and it dynoed at 393 hp, 432 tq and I get 16-21 mpg depending on my driving(w/vortech heads).
