I seen this at a local car show and thought I would share the pics. The owner converted it into what I would call a Avalanche. I asked the owner what he used and he told me that he used a crew cab for all the interior and the back of the cab. He got the idea for the build after a tree had fallen onto the roof crushing the back half of the truck.

Pretty sweet! I'd drive it.

I love it! Id keep the rollbar, ditch the spoiler and I'd rather have a tailgate then barn doors for that. Looks like they did some dang good work on it! 'coarse it does need a 78 front clip. ;)

Ditch the useless roll bar, and the wing, and it would look 10x better. Some nice work there for sure. Just too bad they felt they needed to add the useless stuff.

Yeah they did do good work!! I didn't notice it was a Suburban at first, i thought it was a crew cab and didn't really look at it. It wasn't until I was looking at a car behind it when I seen the barn doors, then thought it was pretty neat.

My thoughts exactly, I have been kicking around the idea of turning a suburban into a 4 door truck (4wd of course) for awhile, I can not seem to find any 4 door trucks in my area for sale unless they are a dually. I don't think I would like a dually.
This way you could have a short bed also.

I think where all agreed that the wing/spoiler is ugly and useless I like the idea and it appears to be good craftsmanship though I would graft a tailgate instead off the barn doors or did they make a Burban our years with a drop gate? I was looking for a crew cab but I wanted short bed this is the way to go I think I'll look for me a Burban.
