This is my first post so I'm not sure if it's going to end up in the right spot...oh well. I've got an 85 k10 stock height with 16x8s on the front & rear. Current tires are 275/60/16 but I was wondering if anyone has used 2" wheel adapters (6x5.5 to 6x5.5) and ran wider tires; say 295/50/16 or something similar? Also, would that wide a tire hit my tie rods or fenders in the front if I used the 2" adapters? In other words I'm looking to go with a wider, lower profile tire on the front & rear. Any ideas?

Are you asking about a 4X4? And you want to run wider lower profile tires on it and you want to move the tires 2" out. That would be AWAY from the hub....
As far as spacers are concerned, it really depends on what kind.
I would get different wheels with the backspacing I wanted. The width of the rim will determin max tread width, then the wheel opening would limit that width...

I have a set of the spacers for the 6 lug I had on my last blazer for the rear and it was great. It brought the rear wheels out into the body more but I would never put them on the front! The track in the front is right where it should be. The rear track is too narrow

Can you re-torque the nuts that hold the adapter into place with the wheel and tire still on the vehicle? Does anyone have any pics of a truck with the adapters?

Not without removing the wheels. I checked mine and with 33"s it never lossened up. I was quite impressed with them.
