Title: door gaskets/weather strip

sup guys, just wondering if theres suppost to be a gasket around the inside door other then the one that goes around the cab. people keep telling me that it needs one,so not sure.. i have a 86 c10 scottsdale.

     Are you talking about the rubber gasket that goes around the whole door frame on the cab once you open the door ?  If so, that is the only one I have ever seen, never heard of a second gasket there.

ummm,thats what i have now.. weatherstrip its on the cab... i guess theres only 1 gasket..  thanx bake

 If I remember correctly, theres a second gasket/weatherstip on the pre-80's trucks. But 81 and later show only on the single piece.

Ok. Me n my bro have the same year truck n he don't have that gasket on the door.. I shaved the door handle n put new gaskets for the door windows n when I open the door little bit of water gets in the seat .not sure why..

Ok. Me n my bro have the same year truck n he don't have that gasket on the door.. I shaved the door handle n put new gaskets for the door windows n when I open the door little bit of water gets in the seat .not sure why..

     Does your truck have drip rails ?  If not water can collect on top between door and cab in the gasket area.  I have heard others complain of the same thing after removing the drip rails.

yea i remove the drip rails,but it only found little bit of water on the driver side..ill gotta see the older trucks early 80's ,maybe i can put gaskets around the door..
