How far of the ground would a 5/7 drop put my 78 chevy stepside? Would taking out leaf springs lower my truck any and if so How much? Any help would be appreciated.

A 5/7 is lower than you think.. I you run smaller tires your A arms would be about 3" off the ground, and runnig bigger tires you could have problems clearing your fenders when you turn.... If your not used to driving something low, you could start with a 3/5 and go to a 5/7 later after you get used to driving it arround that way... You can lower the rear by taking out leafs, but it is not very safe, especialy if you have a V8 you could end up with axle wrap, and could even break, plus your load capacity is not worth crap afterwords, besides drop leafs, and shackles are cheep..
