Title: Caster /Camber?
Post by: Powerglide350 on July 08, 2002, 11:15:00 am
I went to Sears for an Alignment on My 87 Blazer K5 4X4 They say they cannot adjust the camber/Caster but it is out. I looked under the truck and I can't figure out how you would either. Am I missing something?

I have 77 K10 p/u with Dana 44 front axle. I don't know if your truck would be the same. On the 4x4's the only adjustment is toe-in/out.

If it is that far out, you can compensate with shims.

as stated before, the ONLY adjustment you can make on a 4x4 is toe in/out. The front axle is a straight axle so the other two are set by the position/starightness of the axle.

Vile Zambonie is right about caster and shims, but no, camber cannot change on a straight axle.
