Title: 83 truck cab on 78 k10 chassis

I'm putting a 83 truck cab on my 78 k10 chassis and with browsing the site cab is off a 2wd. Will the hump cause issues with my chassis?my truck is a auto so I just need to deal with the transfer case lever. The bolt on hump on the 78 is in excellent condition also. Info and comments appreciated , thanks

     Is the 83 a low hump or high hump center.  You will have to cut a hole for the shifter on the transfer case of course.  Look in the tech section ( I believe ) capt. did a write up on humps in these trucks, you can see the difference and answer most of your questions.

You will need to modify the hump but if you have a bolt in hump already you are ahead of the game. it will make it easier.
