Title: Window Hesitation
Post by: keg87 on January 07, 2012, 07:39:50 pm
Recently, my driver's side window started only going up and down part way.  I wait a while and then it will go up some more, has this happened to anyone.

This has happened to me on both windows. I just took off the door panels and lubed the tracks and rollers at the bottom of the glass and sprayed all the pivot points with WD-40. This fixed the problem and the more often I work them the better they work. Hope this helps.

1982 has the right answer to start, if that does not work, then you need to check the actual mechanism for binding or a bent spot.

If you still have the problem after doing all the above, check the voltage and ground at the window motor while raising and lowering the window.  You may have a window motor overheating from low voltage.
