Is this nv3500, can you tell from the pic. It has 135,000 miles on it, the owner brought it for his 95 s-10 but it won't fit. What do think good deal? Looks like one but not sure from the pic, thanks.

I'm not positive but it looks like the nv1500. It would have been used in 96 and up s10s with the 4 cylinder or 2.8 v-6. Definitely not the nv3500. The nv 3500 look like a a few other transmissions out there. If you can't confirm what it came out of It might be best to pass it up. The only way to tell some versions apart is internal
btw on the 3500 the slave cylinder and starter would be on the right side. Also the shifter is not set that far back on the 3500. The nv 3500 would have been used in s10s with a 4.3 v-6 and 1/2 ton p/u with the 4.3 thru 5.7 liter engines. There is an early and late version of the nv3500 as well I believe the split is 93 but don't remember exactly. Earlier s10s I believe had t-5s and t-4s.

I think you maybe right the guy that was selling said came out fo a 4 cylinder. He bought it from somebody that was parting out a 98 s-10 and it won't fit his 95. Could have been a good deal with a trade. Been looking for a tranny to replace my worn out old 3 speed, decide to go with an nv 3500. Thanks for the help!
