Hey Guys,
Had some new duals run with a H-Pipe. In the process, I did away with the Catalytic Convertor. It helped teh performance for sure and emission testing is no big deal ariound here.
It seems to me now that it runs richer than before. I feel that I use a little more gas than before and have noticed the fuel smell more, especially when I just pull into the garage.
Is there any information about removing converters and it changing the fuel mix?

It is common that your going to smell more exhaust because the converter is no longer there to reduce the emissions and burn the extra fuel.

It would not hurt to check timing, carb adjustments also make sure the plugs and wires are good if it misfires you will smell extra fuel. hope this helps

As cruisinc10 stated, you need to go through and re-tune for no cat's. There whole purpose is to make sure all the left over vapor has been burned, so that is what you are smelling. After a good tune as it sits, it should run even better.
