Finally decided to make a post introducing myself. I have an 85 2WD Pickup and just obtained (for free) an 80 4WD.
I will be asking lots of questions about the 80...The 85 is done, except for paint.

Welcome from Ca. Free is good, how did that happen ?
Long story...sort of! I recently remarried, after being alone for 16 years...My new wife's Family were Farmers/Ranchers here in NW OK.
Karen, my wife, knows i'm a car guy, so she took me out to her Family's home farm to see the old stuff just laying around!
Two 47-54 Chevy trucks (I'm working on getting them...somehow!), two 73-87 4WD pickups, one 60s/70s 4WD Pickup and one 60s/70s 2WD Pickup. Also a 1970 Chevy Impala Custom 2DR Hardtop.
I'm going to combine the 4WD and the other 73-87 4WD into one usable truck...The truck I got had an electrical fire...The other truck blew an engine.
Checking the VIN on the truck I got, I found it was an 80 built in Flint, MI. The other truck is earlier than 1980...haven't checked the VIN yet.

Welcome from Iowa. Great to have you here !!

On the 73 - 80 trucks the 6th position (number) is the year it was made, should make it easier to identify what year it is.

Northwest...Hitchcock to be exact...about three miles Northeast of Roman Nose State Park!!!
About 140 Souls, one Goose, 20+ chickens, 11 horses, bunches of dogs, thousands of cattle, and the cat population depends on how hungry the coyotes are.... ;D

Welcome from Alaska. Visiting a working farm is like treasure hunting. No telling what you'll find on the "south 40".
