Hi all,
Come across this forum while doing some research on my truck and thought I would join up.
I recently sold my Chevy LUV 4x4 and bought a 82 Chevy Silverado K30 with the gas sipping 454 and 4-speed a few months back for a good price and am in the process of fixing some flubs from the previous owner. I just love it when someone tries to fix the wiring with a pair of wire cutters and electrical tape >:(.
A little about myself, I retired from active duty U.S. Army back in 2007 after 24 years and now work at a local community college teaching military technologies. I was a construction machinery mechanic and worked on dozers, earth movers, and everything else that can flatten a mountain and make an airstrip out of it. The only wrench turning I do now is on my own junk.
Glad to be here and hope to learn a few things along the way.
Eric

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I haven't been able to do much to the truck yet because of work and the weather so I guess I'll deal with the problems until the weather gets better. I'm doing alot of research now, so I'll be well informed when I'll be able to work on it.

Gas sipping 454? You obviously have the super rare 454 made of unobtanium... :P
