Title: 85 Suburban Tailgate Window

I am having problems with the tailgate window on 85 Suburban,it is stuck down and switch want work are key will not work,cut the lines to motor and jumped it,was able to use the key for a second and it functioned which let me know the motor was working,but for what ever reason now will not work,loooking for a manual way to do it our just wondering if I am overlooking something,any insight would be appreciated.

Are you trying this with the tailgate closed?

     You cut the line to the motor and jumped it to what ?  Then tried the key and it worked, after you hooked the wire back up right ?
