Title: planning a drop 74 fleetside
Post by: sbx22 on February 12, 2012, 11:50:17 pm
I want to drop the ol' truck for good looks. It's still going to be a work truck, so I don't want to sacrifice payload either. Is there a happy medium? If so, what can you recommend? I want the ride quality to be stock-like, no stiffies. Thanks.

I would think if you want it to feel like stock you probably would either level it out or go no more than 2" drop.  Anything beyond that and you might be sacrificing your ride quality verses payload.  I know you can drop it and retain the ride quality, it just has to be done right.  Vile is doing that to his 74, have you seen his thread ?

spindles in front will retain the same ride, and then a shackle or hanger kit in back will retain stock ride.
