Not much difference between the two, rebuild it and use it.

I have well over 10k miles on my street avenger. Never a minute of trouble from this one. Had one a few years ago that the finish flaked off of the metering plate, inside the bowl. It stopped up a passage or two. I called Holley, sent them pics of the problem, they told me they'd had a bad run and sent me a new carb out that day. It was on my porch two days later. Can't beat customer service like that. The replacement they sent me has been flawless from day one.

I'd buy another SA in a heartbeat.

I have about 5k miles on my SA 770.  Pretty much ready to go out of the box and very easy to tune with a tach and vacuum gauge.  No problems at all.
