I gave the batery hooked up to the two wires that connect to the positive side of the starter. Still I have no power to any assesories, only the clock, power locks and head and tail lights. What wires am I missing? I figured that would be all I needed to test the assesories out while I wait on the manual that shoul be here in a couple days

Guess my question is what wire supplies power to the fuse box inside the cab? I have no power there... idk

Well I figured out how to get power to the assesories. I put a hot wire to the pink window switch wire and got power to the blower and windows. Must of got power to the oil psi gauge too because it went way over

The wire comes off of the distribution block on you firewall and connects to the junction block below your wiper motor then to your fuse block. Look under the technical pages for wiring diagrams here.

Did justh not good with diagrams and it doesn't show good on my phone

454man, you need to post details of your truck and if you are backfeeding a circuit through your window switch be prepared to burn your truck to the ground. You probably have an open fusible link which may be caused by a direct short. If you bypass the circuit protection expect your wiring harness to start melting and potentially cause a fire.

I have all the assesories and wires off the engine. I was trying to connect the two wires on the batt side of the starter to the battery to mess with the windows wipers and blower to see how things work. When I connected the two wires as mentioned I only got power to the headlights, power door locks, tail lights, horn, and some not all of the fuses in the fuse panel. My truck is an 82 with a 5.0 that's no good. I figured all I needed was those two wires to get power to the whole fuse panel, but I guess not. So you think its a fuse link? Or and I just missing another wire to connect? Thanks for the reply

The power feed comes from the fusible links to the bus bar in the fuse panel. So everything is fed from the links forward.

Ok well I know somethin weirds goin on because I only have power to a few fuses with the key foward. Another big issue that may have somethin to do with this is there is a rod that is somehow connected to the ignition cylinder that is not attached. I was told to turn the key foward and pull back on that rod to start the engine
