I was wondering if anyone out there could help with a decision. I am wanting to lower my truck. I was thinking either 3/5 or 4/6 but i'm not sure. I will probably be running 15 or 16 inch wheels. If any of you got any pics of their truck that has either 3/5 or 4/6 could you post them please. Thanks.

the 4/6 drop really looks good if you can fill the fenderwells up with tire. You can do it with a 3" spindle in front and an inch of spring along with just a flip kit in the rears. It's probably one of the easiest ways to make a huge improvement. The last one I did I went with a retro look and used a set of American Racing cp200s wheels in a 15x7 front and a 15x10 rear. Used a 245/60 and a 295/50 for tires. Really filled the stepside up nicely and had a cool "old school" look although now I really prefer billet wheels. Oh well, times change!!!

When I lowered my 87 I was going to go with with a 4/6. After speaking with many companies, and consulting others who had lowered 73-87s, I was told that the DJM 5/5 would get me the look and ride that I wanted. After installing the kit, I can see why they recommended it. The 4 inches in the front on a 4/6 would have not looked right so I probably would have cut the springs another inch. The 5/7 kit would have been too much of a pain in the rear because I would have had to c-notch the frame. If you want a 4/6 look, I recommend looking into the 5/5 as it worked perfectly for me.

About six inches UP.

I am sorry but who is DJM?
-
DJM is a manufacturer of suspension parts. Coils, control arms, spildles, flip kits, etc.

go belltech.........they are excellent quality. i have ran others and they are crap. if you go with the 4-6 id recommend the spindles in the front and a flip kit in the rear.........

i'm sorry to say but whoever lowers a truck is outa their mind. Personally i think it is a waste of a truck in which could be used for a better purpose: playing or working

it depends on what you use your truck for. in my case its a street truck built to run good and look good. if you are hauling @#%$ all the time then you prolly shouldnt lower your truck a whole lot or at all.

til your rockers hit the ground!!!!!!!

lowering a truck gives it a look. Actually lowering a trucks makes more since then raising them. alot more practical to drive on the street. I like a level stance myself. On my 78 I have a 4/6 drop 2" belltech drop spindles new 2" shorter springs back flip kit with a c-notched frame.
