Title: help me choose a color!
Post by: onelow84 on April 01, 2012, 06:53:26 am
I got my motor back from the machine shop and I am getting ready to reassemble it. Should I go with gm corp blue or chevrolet orange? going for a mostly stock look with the truck with a few mods. The truck is going to be lowered and maybe a bigger set of wheels. The truck is going to have all the trim and emblems back on. The engine is going to have Holley carb, performer rpm intake and headers. My first idea was to go with the blue engine and black pulleys and air cleaner kinda stock looking, second idea was orange with black accessories. or should I make it look "beefed up" with aluminum pulleys, fabricated valve covers and lots of bright shiny parts? post some pics please! here are a couple of the progress on the engine bay...

Can't go wrong with Chevy Orange. That with a little black and chrome allways looks good.

Is that flat black your final color for the truck? If so I'd have to go with that color for under the hood. I know I'm painting under my hood, the same color that I'm doing the truck. Whatever that turns out to be.

no, the truck is going to be the same color as under the hood. it just has new fenders on it now. I think I am going to go with the corp blue. I almost always do black engines with lots of aluminum.
