Title: 6.2 to 454 swap info
Post by: 1987V204X4 on April 10, 2012, 09:56:35 pm: I'm collecting parts to do this swap this summer. Anyone have a parts list the could share ?

I need a part # for a new 454 truck oil pan for my 87 3/4ton 4X4

Also what about a cheap decent set of headers that will fit with NO issues.

Will my fan shroud work from the 6.2 ??

It whould be cool if someone had a step by step thread with pictures and all the info that was needed to do this swap. Forgive me if it's out there but I can't find it.

Off the top of my head I can not think of someone that I have read doing the swap. I know there are diesel guys here and guys who knows 454's, but like you I did not find a actual thread with a detailed listing of parts needed to do the swap.
If you end up doing the swap, maybe you can document everything in your thread and then maybe it can go into the tech section for others to benefit from it also.
