Title: Could I make my own flip kit at home?

could i make my own flip kit at home with stuff bought from lowes or some other hardware store? if so what would i need to buy, im goin to get springs and spindles for the front, BTW its an 86 if that makes a difference

You should definately be able to make it.  The flip kit itself is just a U-shaped piece of metal to have a flat surface for your springs to set on.  the ones you buy also come with shock extenders so that you can use factory shocks. Good luck!!

So if I buy some lowering shocks seperate I would save a lot of money buying the kit from Belltech or whomever

You could make one, but they have an offset that moves the axle back, and they have an "angle" built into them that corrects for pinion angle.  You would have to design that into the one you plan to make.

It is normally enough to get the pinion angle back to 3-4 degrees.
