Just bought my truck I only know a little about the details. It has a rebuilt 400 2 bolt 4 speed manual with a 4" lift, 4:11 gears with bigger cams. I would like to start replacing items like the clutch but not sure what kind of clutch to replace it with. Has anyone seen a 400 in a 1973?

Welcome to the site. Your 400 only has one cam and yes 400 small block can be found in pretty much anything as most of these trucks have been molested over the years so the only way to know for sure what you have is to start looking at casting numbers. The Vin # and SPID label in the glove box will also help you figure out what came stock. How about some pics?

First off welcome to the site, make sure you stop by "general site info" and introduce yourself to everyone so they can welcome you in the "welcome" tab.
I am not positive a 400 cid came in 73, I know they did in 74 so I assume the answer is yes. There used to be a website called heritage in the tech pages, but I can not seem to find it, I e-mailed the owner, it has all the specs on your truck. You look on their site, look up your year of truck and it has all the options it came with. Hopefully it gets corrected, it is a nice tool to have access to.
As far as clutch's go, I only use stage 2 clutches now, stock one's don't seem to last long for me, especially in towing trucks.
