hey all,
I am wanting to know if the interior door panels from a 78 dually will fit in an 82 dually or are the years totally different?
I can't compare the two because the 78 is in a different state.
Thanks,
Eric

73-76 doors have shorter door panels. 78 in a 1982 would physically work.

Post up a picture of your doors... inside that is.... who knows maybe someone may have put newer doors on it way before you came into ownership.

Looking at the pictures it looks as if you made the holes needed to affix the newer style door panel on the older door it could be done however the window crank shaft may not stick out far enough to get the handle on. There is another post that shows that 73 is the only short one but it may be 73-76 to accommodate the different door panels. I have not personally had any 73-76's over the years. I am sure there will be someone that can confirm either way.

Thanks to zieg85 for the info on the panels. I found the truck posted on Craigslist.
Ironically, I'm currently living in KS and the 78 is setting in my hometown in IL. I called the guy and I had my brother pick up the door panels, dashpad, and headliner from the 78 yesterday. The guy was actually cutting up the truck yesterday, loading it up on a trailer to haul to the scrap yard. He let my brother have everything for free, it also helped that my brother just changed the guys tires yesterday also. It's funny sometimes how things work out with the help of the Internet.
So when I do get these panels here to KS within the next couple months, my intent is to get some pictures posted if the panels fit or not.

You can use 77-up door panels on an 82 door.
