Title: Trans Th700 or wheels
Post by: B2Z000 on December 18, 2003, 04:10:00 am
Hi All,

I´ve got a chevy silverado C20 6.2 diesel from 1984. It´s got a th700 trans.
Just recently I´ve changed the diff oil with a GL5 oil about a week ago. Also changed the trans oil and filter about three weeks ago. Since a few days i´ve got a weird vibration when trans going into three and four. Just yesterday ive changed the tires on the back. They where pretty damaged., and I guess not round anymore. Got a couple of other tires wich are a bit smaller than the previous ones. Now the vibration is a little less and it seems its going about 10 miles earlier into they vibs. Seems to me there is either something with the trans or there´s someting with the backwheel brakes. Anyone got any experience with it?

Thanks in advance,

Archy

Hi, Just checked thu U joints in the drive line and it seems the last one, just before the diff is bad. Gonna change it and maybe it will change the world.

Thanks,
