Title: Swamp 350TH to 400TH
Post by: 7Stepside8 on May 13, 2012, 11:13:58 pm
Will I be able to just put a 400TH from an RV right into my truck with a 350TH and have no issues?

You're going to have to do some modifications.
The amount of modifications will depend upon whether it is a 2wd or 4wd.
Either way, the first item to come to mind is the electric kickdown switch (TH400) versus cable operated kickdown (TH350).

It's 2wd.. Swamping Transmissions is new to me so Im hoping to get a list of things I need before I do it so I can do it quick.

output splines are probably going to be different. You will need the bracket, and switch off the gas pedal assembly for the electric kickdown. You will need to wire it up. Move the cross member most likely, probably change the length of the drive shaft.
