Title: Power windows stumped
Post by: mean79 on May 17, 2012, 09:44:43 am
Im trying to fix my pass side power windows in my 86 jimmy ive looked at the schematics and still cant get it it broke a wire and I pulled that lil plastic piece where they all go and they shot right outta there and those lil clips are to find that the switch slides into. If some body could post a pic of where each wire goes to each prong on the switch or tell me from the the three and the two with the two on the bottom. If this didnt confuse you I appreciate the help

Is this diagram any better to understand? It's not your truck, but most GM pwr window schematics are similar. The right control switch should only have 3 wires- blue for up, brown for down, and red/white or pink for 12v dc (B+) voltage. I hope the diagram is readable.

Well, the diagram isn't clear enough to read. sorry about that. But, remember, your window switch only has two controls- one is up, and one is down. So the wiring will be pretty basic- you have a feed wire for power and a blue wire for the up signal, and a brown wire for the down signal.
