i have a question about caltracs ? do they mount on stock leaf springs or do u have to remove some leafs .do ur rear end have to be o ntop of ur leaf springs for caltracs or can they be used on leafs that sit on top of the rear end

As far as the spring leaves go, I'm not sure what is required. It would depend on the length of the U-bolts supplied. What I will add is that I see no need for the overload on a performance type suspension. The back of the spring needs to "work" so if you have the HD spring pack...I would definitely take a couple out. I have the 3 leaves on mine & works well. You need the suspension soft enough so the shocks control the movement, with too much spring...they are (for the most part) going for a ride.
Caltrac makes two set-ups for our trucks: Stock (for the axle UNDER the spring) & Flip (axle ON TOP of the spring).
Get with Chris (Capt.) he is a vendor for Caltrac. Lorne

ok thanks just trying to look ahead or plan ahead ,i remember the old school traction bars people used to use back in the day .but i think these are a better setup . i have read that it kinda mimics a 4 link in action

They come with new mount for springs that u bolts go through you need to remove spring pack and have the front bushing replaced with new metal one supplied in kit I took mine to machine shop and did it for 40.00 Fairly easy to do

Some pics are here, They will fit as is, either flipped or stock (the kit is specific to what you are needing) I would remove the overload spring.
