now i know gm and mopar did D.o.D. they say it saved but it never really took off like they hoped i think even a jap car did it also. then gm also did it in the Cadillac’s 8-6-4 in the 80s but it would just kill spark not the injectors. then on top of all this there is also this problem, gms D.o.D.s will effect the valves so they air would pass right threw and not cause any pressure. but with this fuelsmart product it only effects the injectors and claims up to 22% better fuel eco. this is i think more than twice as much as gms D.o.D. would get. now i know money would get anyone to say something works this is why stacey david vouched for it but for 250 it seams way to good to be true. an other opinions?

i know you don't mean any harm, but could we maybe not use the term "jap" anymore?
As far as the device, in theory it could work. i think the oem D.o.d systems are very good though.

Interesting but wouldn't cutting off fuel supply to a cylinder cause a ruff idle our ruff running engine?

id like to know that to...But it is a V8 right? and the firing order is close together and if ya had good compreshion i dont think youll totice....achully take 2 plug wires off and see how it runs...not like 1 and 8 but like 8 and 6 far apart that way its not sutch a drop loosing a cyilender right after the next...

true. I wonder why they couldn't make the ignition system stop voltage from going to those cylinders aswell.

if i was to do it it would be for my v6, now what im thinking is at idle you would see a rough idle but it only kicks in when cruising and deceleration. and since it rotates which cylinders get cut off it should limit the feel of the miss fire more. as for the plug wires you would build up fuel in that cylinder, and this would cause more problems. its more of the fact its not opening the valves so you still build up pressure and that would be wasting more energy than you need to be wasting thus decreasing the improved mpgs
