Title: 82 Fuse Block
Post by: Crob on June 08, 2012, 10:56:28 am
This is the fuse block in my 82 K15.  The wiring in this thing drives me nuts, especially not knowing what is what.  What would you guys suggest I do?

Beyond what is shown in the picture, is the rest of the harness butchered up? What isn't working?

Go to the "technical pages" under the section "73-87 Chevy trucks" and search wiring diagram.  Print off and start identifying what is what and clean it up.

It's gonna be fun.  About half of that stuff under there can't be right.

It might surprise you, the factory bundles all those wires in a neat little bunch, when a problem arises, someone takes it apart and does not take the time to put it back all nice and neat.  Now you have what I refer to in my line of work as a "rats nest" of wires.  Good luck and keep us informed.
