I have a 84 dual tank  short bed it a project. I have installed a project 89 5.7 n 700 tranny. My problem is the space between my fuel line and tank selector. Will i have to cut the metal line in order to use both tanks. Thanks guys

I don't really understand the question.
By the way welcome to the site, and you should make a post under "general information" under "welcome" tab so everyone can say hello.

I'm afraid I don't understand your question either.  I'll take a stab, though.  Does the hard line go all the way to the switching valve?  If it does, then I'd think that you will have to open a section of that line to insert the pump.  If we had a little more info on why you're adding this pump it would really help us to help you.

I was installing the pump because i put the 87-95 block n my truck with the brackets. Didn't know if the mechanical fp was going to fit. I've got the pump installed now.
