Title: Temp gauge sending unit
Post by: 454Man on July 02, 2012, 08:06:06 am
My current temp sending unit has a separate bolt that sits on top of it and compresses the lip of the sending unit to create a seal. Well I am no longer able to use the t stat housing and all the other locations won't work because they are too deep. Are there any aftermarket temp gauge assemblies that don't use the slip collar bolt on the sending unit and are just one peice? Help is needed on this thanks guys!

You will have to use a sending unit that operates on the correct ohms for your particular gauge.  Switching to a different style without the correct ohms will not allow it to read properly.

Well I am in the market for a new setup. The mech one I have is not a detachable peice from the gauge. So I may have to go electric. Guess my question is what brand has o one peice sending unit

Aftermarket or?  If you want your factory gauge to work, it would have to be a comparable sending unit...
