Has one tried putting 22" wheels on the Chevy? I really want to add 22x9.5 up front and 22x11 in the back. I would like to see pictures.
-
Here's a Chevy with 22.5" wheels and tires.

My truck is going to be lowered 5/7
-
pretty common now. The front size is going to mean no inner fenders or you will need custom ones with that amount of drop.
-
Sadly not mine, but this thing is dropped on 22's, he's using trailer fenders up front.

Nice. What drop does he have on it.
-
I'm pretty sure it's a 5/7, I'd have to go find it again to make sure.
-
I love the stance of that truck. You wouldnt happen to have any pictures of the engine bay looking at those trailer fenders?
-
I went back and looked, he didn't post any pics of the engine bay. Sorry man.

Ruined it.......

What do you mean ruined it?!?!
-
Not everyone is into the lowered on large rolling stock look. Everyone has their own tastes when it comes to trucks.

No offense, just don't like it at all. I have never been a fan of the oversized wheels, looks like a hot wheels kids car. The lowering is fine to a point.
I'm just old school I guess.

Maybe just old.............. ;) I never saw the attraction to huge rims and tiny rubber either. But then again I don't watch music videos.
Whatever floats the owner's boat is fine with me. If we all drove around with skinny stock steelies it would get pretty boring.
I'm still floating on 15's More rat than rod.
-
Well the reasoning for the big wheels with tiny rubber is I'm rebuilding the truck to be a super muscle truck. I want it to scream muscle car. But most likely I'm going to do 20's. Like or dislike to each his own.
-
I applaud you for keeping the old trucks alive, even though they really aren't that old. And I agree with "to each his own".
When I think of muscle truck or muscle car (I own few), it would not include 20 inch rims with rubber band tires. That wheel combination screams "Pimp my Ride"
Again, no offense.
-
I agree with you about the 20's. I hate chrome wheels. But Im want an old school replica wheel that's screams muscle. American Racing and Foose wheels have some nice old school looking wheels. 22's were maybe to big. For some reason the 20's looked small in the wheel well.
-
Not that this is the perfect wheel/tire combination or drop, but it looks great with a muscle truck kind of look. Color isn't my favorite! :-\
