I was thinking of painint my truck two tone atomic orange and black. My truck is already black and the paint is in great shape. Do i have to repaint the entire truck ?
-
also how much body work is involved in removing the trim strip on the body and changing from the factory mirrors to a small er sport mirrors from truck my truck is an 85 with the silverado package

The factory trim strip, for the most part, is applied with strong adhesive tape. The only exception is the rear bed corner, if I remember correctly, the bed corner trim piece has studs on the backside that go through the bedside.
Changing mirror is fairly easy. If you have the larger stainless mirrors, you'll likely be filling holes.
How fresh is the black paint? With a new coat of paint next to an old coat it might look good or you may get it out of the paint shop and see all the flaws in the current black paint.

the sellar just said newer so not really sure

Unless he has some proof to back up the repaint I would assume it is old. Any bodyman/painter can inspect it and let you know.
