The windows seem very "sticky" and difficult to roll up and down. Are there ways to make this easier? i'm not against taking the door panels apart, but i wanted to see if there were other ways first.

Easy:
Apply some dry silicone spray in the felt channels.
Harder:
Realign the top and bottom of the rear glass run channels in the doors.
PITA:
Grease the regulator rail, sash rail and rollers. Lube the regulator. If power windows, verify you have adequate voltage to the motors and good grounds.

In addition to bd's comment; If the glass and window felt are still original, installing new felt could help.
If the windows have been changed out at some point, it may have the incorrect window felt for the window which would make rolling the windows up and down difficult.

i'm pretty sure everythings original----it's just recently(relatively) started to get this way. i remember when it was easy to roll.
