Title: Mustang II Crossmember
Post by: 86gmc23 on July 31, 2012, 10:24:12 am
Had anyone installed Paul Horton's Welder Series Mustang II front crossmember in our trucks? I'm debating doing it he says there is extra fab work to get it installed but it's $200. Others I've found are min $1000 and I'm on a budget. So if anyone has done it any advice on install would be greatly appreciated.

What are you wanting to accomplish?  I personally don't like the MII suspension setups, but if you are on a budget it can work, but these trucks are much wider.

Was looking into crossmembers and they say it centers the wheel in the wheel well and narrows track to match rear track. Also upgrading suspension for better handling and more clearance laying frame. Why don't you like the mustang setup?

It was designed to hold up a mustang, or a lightweight car, not a pickup.

There is a thread I posted to with some of the aftermarket setups.
