I got one of those new fancy pants radios from my neighbor. He bought it a couple years ago for over $600 and I gave him $80 for it. Its in great shape so its a sweet deal. However, this sucker is heavy. Its easily 4 times heavier than the stock radio, maybe more. Its cause it has some kind of 4 channel amp actually built in. You can kind of tell because its elongated.

I'm afraid this thing is heavy enough that its going to start to bend the metal of the dash. Unless I can somehow get it mounted in the rear of the radio as well. Just wanted to get yalls opinion on how you would go about this.

Should have a point in the back for bracing it. Your factory radio had a brace in the back as well. If you don't have it you should be able to make one to replace it. I was able to get my new Pioneer Single DIN to mount to the stock rear support without any modifications.
