Title: hard start

hey i have a problem. i rebuild the top end of my motor and the motor runs great no problems. but after a while of running after the engine warms up and i shut it off and try to restart it it turns over like i got a low battery and i know the battery is fully charged. any suggestions?

Timing May be  too far advanced. Try retarding the timing. Or the mechanical timing is coming in too fast

X2 on the timing... but, it could also be "hot soak" starter syndrome.

You may also want to make sure your alternator is charging.   You can check the voltage with a multimeter before you start it and then while its running touch the probes to the battery terminals and it should read 13.5-14.5.
