Post by: Macj1983 on September 03, 2012, 11:43:32 pm
Ok so a buddy of mine has 350 block he would sell me for 50 out of a 67 camaro says it's a good block bc it's older more nickel in it ?" yes I'm not well versed on this stuff so forgive me if this seems dumb" anyways I have the time to turn it into a 383 stroker  this a good move to spend the time and money building this?

Have you ever built an engine before? If not then you might consider starting smaller. Modding  a 350 block for a 400 crank can be a lot of tedious work especially if you've not done a rebuild before. That's not even taking into account the cost, it can be a lot more expensive than you might think. But if you've got the time, the money and most importantly the drive, I say go for it. Nothing feels better than accomplishing that kind of build.

What you think the low end cost would run?
