Title: Is there a reason for taking out a coolant temp sensor???
Post by: Cj on September 05, 2012, 12:28:11 am
I just picked up a 74  gmc 350 and all the electrical was way destroyed up. Cut, spliced, unplugged, hanging all the above lol. Ive got most of rewired except a few cut wires idk. Theres a green wire, thick dark brown wire and thin light brown wire im lost on. I think the green one is for the coolant temp but im not sure were it is my only idea where looks like he capped it off, can you safely do that???

Coolant temp sensor generally goes in the drivers side head with the green wire going to it, does the truck had gauges or lights?
the brown wires could be either the combination brake wire or the Oil sending wire.
