GM Lemans Blue Metallic
Thinking about keeping the factory lines but replacing the old blue with this blue & having the red/silver stripes painted on like the vette but in the original lines of the truck?! I think it would look cool....
Please feel free to comment or share paint schemes.... Im taking it in November 1st for paint. Having a hard time deciding what I want. This is my #1 choice so fare.

I like that combo.
-
Looks like it will come out really well
-
hows this? gave the rims a matching paint. not my best work but it is my first 8)
-
I like it. Change that red stripe to black maybe and I would be in love
Sent from heck

WOW!? thats cool...after seeing it though it makes me think it might be a little much???
-
lol i think the red is too much like sench said maybe black
-
a little better. to me theses colors are good but something about them makes them clash when put together

Anything will look better than the clear peeling off all over like it is now lol.. Yeah, I do like the dark blue though. I may just paint it solid blue now that i've seen it, IDK. I do kinda still like the 2 tone though. I think it would look better actually on the truck than in these pics!? Ahh..Decisions...decisions....
But when I keep looking at the first one with the red stripe, Im starting to like it more and more! I plan on shaving the mirrors and lowering the truck some(not alot). I think this paint will make it unique without being to crazy. Thanks for the editing Irish! Can you make it solid blue?
-
I like the first combo and I think doing the hood would be cool too
-
Use a brighter red or orange separator stripe
-
still working on it being all blue. learning photoshop
-
was trying the blue and got this it dont look bad at all
-
man I think ordering a lowering kit needs to be my #1 priority! I like that
-
This is my #2 option and probaly most realistic for my budget. Painting it like one of these trucks with my original colors or close enough so my interior matches...
-
Update #3 Lol
I'm painting it a solid color now. This is it, shaved mirrors and trim and maybe a cowl hood! I'm digging it!
-
I love your factory two tone, maybe just repaint it that way?
-
Yeah...after going back and forth and back in forth I've decided factory two tone it is! Might change the colors slightly but putting it back close to original. Man its hard to decide what you want to do! :o
-
If ya don't mind my nickels worth.... I like the bottom choice - I tjust think that is so awesome. But really, either way is very good.
Mind if I ask how big the budget is on this project?
-
after going back and forth and back in forth I've decided
I know that feeling. I could choose to paint my truck any color and I had decided on a color multiple times then at the parts store buying paint I changed my mind again and went with a totally different color than I had planned. :o

Budget = no more than 3k
I have a buddy that works for a body shop that is going to do most of it for me. We are doing it in my shop so this will be a backyard paint job!
I haved picked these colors ( for now)
gm Imperial blue & gm cyber grey

I think this will all work out very well for you - $3k should more then cover the costs involve. I've painted three cars in my garage. Sure, it's alota work and I've found out that it is possible to rent a paint booth in the San Francisco Bay Area - which I would rather do because the over spray can get crazy.
Good luck with the project and have fun - it can be a rather involved learning experience.
-
i would leave it the way it is.

You know I have just decided to just leave it alone and fix some minor mechanical issues and less cost things on it. I really would like to paint it but its alot of cash that I just don't need to spend right now! Put a new carb on last week and some new fender trim, just going to keep it original looking with a drop and wheels. I like that look anyways... Kinda like it not being PERFECT.
